Gola & Co founder, Sophie Ziai, holds a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry (B.Sc.) from the University of Ottawa and a Doctorate (Ph.D.) in Nutrition from Université de Montréal. Her thesis topic was the relationship between inflammation and cystic fibrosis-related diabetes.
With over 15 years of experience in translating various scientific documents such as summaries, posters, presentations and scientific articles in Canadian French and English, Ms. Ziai has also worked in research at the Institut du Savoir Montfort affiliated to Hôpital Montfort in Ottawa, Ontario. Now, currently working at Health Canada, where she continues to translate a wide variety of documents such as reports and summaries that are published on the web. Ms. Ziai is passionate about providing high quality English and French scientific translations in order to efficiently communicate key messages to stakeholders and the public.
